If you've loved me for any amount of time, you've learned that I just recently became a
I digress. (that over-used idiom never gets old to me. it's like Clocks or Let It Be; always appropriate.)
After Redeeming Love, someone handed me Twilight. Judge me, I deserve it. I'd add that it was against my will, and it was, but that should mean nothing to you because I read the entire series in a month. I was on a reading role. I should have picked up Moby-Dick or War and Peace just after that. But, as you can probably understand, I had to step away from fiction and stimulate my brain again. Vegetarian vampires, blood-filled sippy cups, and sex with a man made of marble. Puh-lease, bring me some philosophy before I die from brain atrophy.
Then, fiction came back into my life and I came to make special places in my heart for the Pevensie siblings, Reepicheep, Puddleglum, Aslan and the rest of Narnia. Followed by my favourite wizards and muggles of the Wizarding World. Friends, my life has been enriched. I kid you not.
Why do I shamelessly brag about my feat (not feet. i would never brag about my feet) despite knowing tons of legit longtime readers? Because my next few posts will be little nuggets I've taken from these books. Things I learned about me or you. Yes, you. I warn you now, if you're afraid of spoilers, don't check my blog until you've caught up on your reading. C'mon, you're an adult; you can throw these down in no time.
Ciao for now, loves.
List of books I will most likely talk about over the next while:
- Redeeming Love
- Twilight (as a whole series, since I don't remember what detail is from which book)
- The Magician's Nephew
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
- The Silver Chair
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
- A Severe Mercy
