Here, is something most people don't know about me. I've recently developed an obsessive fascination with Physics. I don't talk about it much, because I don't find too many people interested. But I sure do research a lot about it. As a matter of fact, I have been listening to some very interesting lectures by Professor Richard Wolfson. This past weekend I spent 15 hours in a car listening to my Physics lectures. On the latter part of my trip something struck me...
People say that "right" and "wrong" are relative terms. When physicists discovered relativity, they admitted that not all things are relative. In fact, they have proved and hold to the reality that the speed of light is absolute. (It does not depend on whether or not the light source is moving. It will always travel at the same speed.) Physicists depend on this absolute SO much that they state relative events in reference to the speed of light. (i.e. X moves at .08 the speed of light). The very people who discovered relativity depend on the absoluteness of light to draw huge scientific conclusions.
If you have deceived yourself into thinking that it might be "right" for a raped woman to choose, you have determined what is right based off of circumstance, something relative; as opposed to truth, something absolute. Abortion should not be looked at as the the right to choose. There is nothing right about taking an innocent life into ones own hands.
I've mentioned before that I have multiple frustrations that prevent me from engaging in political discussions. Every 4 years there comes a time where I am forced to pick a label. Again, you may think me a bad American because I am not motivated to vote by what rights I should have as an American, nor what would make America a better place, nor what tax plan is going to benefit the economy the most. Honestly, I see politicians as nothing more than salesmen. I'm not voting for a politician. I am not voting for myself. I am not voting for the sake of my country. I vote solely based off of what is right and what is wrong. The only moral issue on which these politicians have influence is abortion. I am voting for the sake of the smothered voices.
