I just woke up from the best nap I've ever taken in my entire life!
Don't you just love exaggerations?! My husband likes to show his distaste for my exaggerations by repeating what I say. For instance...
Me: I have never in my life experienced such an inspiring message!
Stephen: Never?
or...
Me: I hate this frickin Mac!
Stephen: Hate?
or...
Me: Those kids are getting drunk every weekend!
Stephen: Every?
or...
Me: That guy always treats me like I'm the stupidest person on the face of the planet.
Stephen: Always? Stupidest?
I try to tell him that I'm just literary. I use hyperbolic language to get my point across. His love for reading doesn't help him buy it. Either way, I hate loud eaters. I love grapefruit. At this rate we're never going to get to have babies. That one lady always treats me like I'm an idiot. And I did just wake up from the best nap I have ever taken in my entire life.
(By the way, in order to understand how this sounded in my head, you must pronounce "Either" the way I do. Phonetically, that is: I-ther).

I LOVE hyperbole. It's ALWAYS the BEST POSSIBLE way EVER to get your point across. Ever.
OMG - we're twins! Maybe not look alikes - but I do the same thing and my husband does the same thing your hubby does - "Always?"

Oh my Gosh! I'm cracking up! That's EXACTLY what my family and Jed do to me. I'm constantly (i changed from the word always after i wrote it :) ) saying, "That's the BEST fill-in-the-blank in the WHOLE world EVER!" OK-so maybe we're a lil over-passionate. i love reading ur blog.
